In January of 2013 I joined an amazing
show choir called KW Glee. We rehearsed every Saturday morning from 9:00 am -
1:30 pm and every Monday evening from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. This took up a lot of
my time during high school so time-management skills were very pertinent when
it came to getting all my assignments in on time. We rehearsed every Saturday
and Monday from January all the way to May when we would have our big show. We
performed three sold out shows at Drayton Entertainment’s Dunfield Theatre. The
500 seats each night were filled with supportive friends, parents and even
fans. This was my first time on a big stage so I had no idea what I was getting
myself into, but that stage fright went away very quickly as I learned how to
apply my bubbly personality into my performing.
KW Glee puts on two shows a year and
they call them “terms”, I was in terms 7,8 and 9. Term 7 was in the spring of
2013, term 8 was in the fall of 2013 and term 9 was in the spring of 2014. My
favourite term was most definitely term 9 when I had a solo in the song
“Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Buble. If any of you know me personally you
all know how much I adore Michael Buble and the work he does so it was a huge honour for me to sing one of his songs in my local glee club. KW Glee’s videos
are up on YouTube which includes Haven’t Met You Yet! Enjoy!
